Position: Controls Engineer

Role Description

We currently have a requirement for a Controls Engineer to join our team. Our Controls Engineers program and commission PLC controlled automation systems in the manufacturing environment with an emphasis on the automotive and logistics industries.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

· Program Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs

· Troubleshoot complex automation

· Coordinate with other disciplines to streamline delivery

· Develop efficient means and standards to ensure budgets and schedules are met

· Validate system safeties function as designed

Experience:

· Minimum 5 years direct working experience.  Strong Siemens experience.

· Working knowledge of Safety PLC Systems and Safety Standards

· Working knowledge of communication networks (Ethernet IP, IOLink, ProfiNET)

· Direct experience with robot integration and understanding of robot programming

· Direct experience with motion control and vision applications

· Direct experience with safety circuit design

· SCADA experience is preferred.  Familiarity with C/C++/C#, Python
